Angels by Felicia

The above paintings were created from original renditions by Angel Artist Felicia.

 In 1992 Felicia was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was advised by her doctors to do nothing but enjoy her family and what she could with her life. In 1997 she had surgery for the brain tumor. Due to the location and size of the tumor, her children were told not to expect Felicia to know who they were or even that she had children following the surgery. The doctors did not believe she would be able to walk, talk or remember. The surgeons removed a large part of the right side of her brain and replaced the skull with metal plates and screws.

When she awoke after surgery she started telling people she wanted to paint their Angel. Never having painted before she could not imagine why she had such a desire.  But she pursued her inspiration and painted her first Angel in 1997 for her daughter. Felicia was a very gifted person who painted these Angels as instructed by them (the Angels).

Angels among us...

The Scriptures give us no indication of the precise time of the creation of angels; their existence is assumed at the earliest times. Our Lord often spoke of angels; in the New Testament they are numerous and seven orders are mentioned: Angels, Powers, Principalities, Dominions (ations), Thrones and Archangels the Old Testament specifically mentions two others Seraph (im) and Cherub(im). God bestowed upon angels great wisdom, freedom, and power, and their many appearances in the New Testament are indication of the lead role assigned to them. 

Although the word "angel" in the Bible, meaning a messenger, nearly always applies to heavenly beings, it can occasionally apply to human messengers as well.
